JUNIOR
SABBATH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Ages
10 - 12 years old
Kids
are excited about coming to Sabbath School! Why? Because
they are
being challenged to become Jesus disciples. How?
Juniors
earn merit points for:
attendance, punctuality, bringing their bibles, knowing
their memory verse,
being helpers and weekly bible challenges.
Why?
These
translate into "Christian pogs" for their
teams and points toward
becoming....
"SEEKERS"
"BEREANS" "BELIEVERS" and finally
"DISCIPLES".
With
each level comes a spiritual challenge and privileges.
The greatest
challenge is for those who become "Disciples".
You will have to come to class to
find out what that challenge is????
The
Juniors enjoy checking out Christian videos from our
large Junior library
each week. Every week we watch a video segment of
"Pete and Andy" the
apostles, Peter and Andrew, as they are learning to
become "Disciples" of Christ.
Sometimes they are confused, sometimes discouraged
and other times amazed but
their learning. They are having a real impact on our
Juniors and we enjoy
their humor.
OUR
PROGRAM INCLUDES:
Fun
action activities, ice-breakers games, birthday celebrations
with gifts,
refreshments and small group bible studies (4 groups,
usually 4 to a group,
each led by one of our teachers) with lots of interactive
discussion. The
Juniors have a lot to say!
OUR
GOAL:
"Create
Disciples for Jesus" and lead Juniors into a
relationship with Jesus
through prayer, bible study and action by knowing
who they are "In Christ".
We also encourage Juniors to make decisions for baptism
as they reach the
"Disciple" level.
We
are having a great time! Won't you join us? We would
