Lonnie Melashanko, VOP speaker/director leaves.
June 20, 2008. By Don A. Roth GC Representative

I am very sorry to see Lonnie leave the VOP post because he has done a very good job filling in the shoes left by the Richards family for the past 17 years.

Here is the story:

Lonnie Melashenko, VOP speaker/director for the past 17 years, will become a vice president of Kettering Health Network

Lonnie Melashenko, a veteran Seventh-day Adventist pastor and broadcaster, announced June 16 that he will leave the Voice of Prophecy as speaker/director on July 31, 2008.

Officials of the Adventist Church's North American region said. Melashenko will become vice president of Spiritual Services and Missions for the Kettering Health Network in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. No replacement has been named.

"I am truly grateful for the 17 years of service that Pastor Melashenko provided and pray that the Lord will continue to use him in his new role," Don Schneider, president of the Adventist Church in North America, said in a statement.

Care Group Ministry
Want to get connected with your church family? Want to make friends, have great fellowship and grow closer to God? Want to learn the power of prayer and receive support in times of crisis? Well then, JOIN A CARE GROUP! Read the Care Group Brochure available on the table in the church foyer. There are some amazing stories of how God is working as people come together to care for one another and pray. Join a Care Group class during Sabbath School and prepare to start a Care Group of your own. We also need people who are willing to host Care Groups. The blessings are many and God wants to give YOU that abundant life He promised.

Community Services Needs Your Help!
We are looking for volunteers to help in the center. If you would like to volunteer your time, we are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
