Welcome to the Youth department at Pleasant Hill!
Most of you have teenagers active in either the earliteen
or youth departmentws, and we as youth leaders would
like to extend our welcome to you as parents as well!
From time to time, we will be informjing you of upcoming
events in the youth department. We would like to contact
you via e-mail and are compiling an address book to
keep you inofrmed of all the activities. In order

An excellent resource we'd like you to know of right
now is a newsletter online called Newsletters@YouthBuilders.com.
A "Good Advice Parent Newsletter" is available
each month with audio-visual, as well as book resources.
This month's newsletter includes: media influences,
youth culture watch, single parenting, empty nesting,
dinner/faimily time, . . . just to name a few. It
is an excellent tool that we all can b enefit from----it
is essential that we as parents make a conscious
effort in raising our children. After all, we're not
held accountable for the choices they may make, but
God does hold us accountable for their training.
Beginning Sabbath, September 13, the youth department
started a drama team and praise band. Please encourage
your teenager to come and be a part of this Sabbath
School. We will be emphasizing drama and praise on
the 1st Sabbath of each month. The drama and praise
band will be led by dynamic individuals who are well
qualified for the job. Please call or write for further
information.
The youth leaders will be attending Youth Specialties,
a training conference held September 25-28. Please
pray for God's direction as He teaches us what we
need to learn . And pray that we may bring back His
vision of ministry to your kids. We are excited about
serving your family, and are looking forward to an
awesome year of service, learning and growth.
